How can I get my male teammates to respect me more? *10 Points* :)?

I'm a third-year golf player on my high school team, and I'm also the only girl out of 12 players. Sometimes the guys are nice, but sometimes they just ignore me. I pretty much just want to get along with them and be able to talk to them since I'm going to be around them so much for the whole season. The thing is some of them have this attitude toward me that I'm a nun or something--like they know me so well, and I would never do anything bad. Others don't even act like I'm there and just talk about their--well, you know, what guys talk about-- :)





I don't want them to act weird around me, but I also don't want them to ignore me or treat me like I am a guy. I've been wearing skirts and more feminine clothes lately to make it clear that I am not a tom-boy just because I am the only girl, and it seems to be working a little. I want them to talk to me like they would any other girl, but its weird because they're around so many other guys and they want to act like, well, guys!





Another thing, and even if you only answer this I might give 10 points...





One of the guys has been messing with me, just kidding around doing things like raising his eyebrows, licking his lips, asking me what I'm doing later tonight, that sort of thing. How can I play along without looking like a ho, or ignore it without looking like it makes me uncomfortable? (It doesn't, by the way, I just don't know how to respond to it).

I don't think you should flirt if you want respect. Flirting kind of demotes your status of what they'll think of you. They think you're a woman and merely because of that they feel like they can't relate to you. Establish a common ground. Joke around a little--don't be perverted, but show them you're there. Be loosey goosey and don't take offense to what they say. I'll put this lightly: then again don't be promiscious.How can I get my male teammates to respect me more? *10 Points* :)?
uhhh. that ALWAYS happens to me!! lol I totally agree with *apple about the mimic thing If there talking about hot girls or something just stand in the circle or wutever and listen for a while then say like ';no way this person is wayyy prettier than this person'; and laugh or something.

keep on wearing your cute golf skirts because since it is golf there are many cute things you could wear.





just act like the girl you are and it is good that one of the guys has been flirting with you. if you play along with it the other guys will notice and treat you like a girl. But dont let them all start to treat you like a hoe. just do it enough so they start to recognize you are a girl and you want to be recognized as one.





a good way to respond to the flirting would be to mimic the things he does. so if he licks his lips lick yours but then make sure to laugh afterwords so he knows you are only joking so it seems just fun but not slutty.


to stop them from talking about boy things, you should get in on the conversation. If they are talking about girls, and you jump in they will probably change the subject to something more ';girl appropriate';
