How should i go about this, any advice is really helpful.?

I am going to prom with a girl who is 1 year older than I am, I rarely ever talked to prior to me asking her to prom, and she's really good at dancing. I am 17, suck at dancing, suck at impressing girls, but still want to try to make something of the night. Any tips/advice to help me get with this girl I like without looking like a complete asshole. p.s. Afterwards there is going to be a party at my house prom night. How should i go about this, any advice is really helpful.?
Just move your hips to the rhythm of the music, preferably not forward and backward, and swing your arms mildly to the beat. All should be fine. How should i go about this, any advice is really helpful.?
I know this sounds cliche, but just be yourself. Go out with the intention of having fun and showing her a good time. Don't try just to impress. Be respectful. Be on time. Tell her she looks great. Talk to her, but more important listen. Don't ignore her. Don't show off. Doesn't matter if you suck at dancing, just move and have a good time. She's going to want it to be a good night too. When it comes time for the party, since it's at your house, try to give her plenty of attention even though you'll have to take care of your guests. Just make an effort to really make her smile. No tricks, no fake romance, just make the effort and she'll have a good time. And don't worry about the age thing. One year is nothing.
Ask her for any suggestions for your party. Get her involved in picking out the music.Find a friend of hers that you think you can trust to help you feel less awkward. If she said yes then you've already gotten over the biggest hurdle.
Don't worry about what others think.

Just let her know that you like her dancing but that your not very experienced at it.

Just relax and talk with her.

She might be just as nervous too.

Talking with her will get you both more relaxed.

Enjoy the night.

Good Luck.
